A Place To Rest

Everyone needs a place to rest.

No matter how strong you are,

No matter your pride,

You need,

a place,

to rest.

Let yourself be soft and gentle.

Let your walls down.

Take your armor off

and lay among the daisies in the sun.

Let the butterflies settle on your cheeks.

Let the moonbeams kiss your lashes.

Find a place rest.

Whether arms to shield you from the world.

Words to soften the day.

A breath to whisper away your worries.

A heartbeat to drum through pain.

Find

A place

To rest.

Oh, Lone Wolf,

Stop running to those who would shun you. Stop running to the pack that snaps at your scars,

Bites at your ears,

Tears at your throat.

Lay down and rest with the Lost Lamb who's legs are tired and coat is worn.

Find a place to rest.

Where you feel safe in the darkness

held by a gentleness you trust.

Rest where your eyes close easily

and your mind drifts to places it has never been.

Rest where words are gentle,

where the world is quiet,

and your soul sheds its burden.

Just find

A place

To rest.
